     TrestleTree has invested the past nine years in actualizing one of our core values and beliefs;
"growth and change are achievable and advisable for everyone."

     Achievable and Advisable; You can do it and you should do it. Achievable speaks of attainable hope; you can. Advisable conjures an image of wise counsel; you should.

     The coupling and sequencing of these words gives insight into the TrestleTree philosophy of helping people change tough health behaviors. Achievable and advisable is like peanut butter & jelly; one by itself is very different than the two together.

     What if TrestleTree chose not to include the word "achievable" in this core value statement or what if we would have placed the word achievable behind advisable? Well, we would have just reinvented the wheel by continuing to lead with advice given, "let me tell you what to do", that has been a hallmark to our healthcare experience. Healthcare is really good at telling people what to do, but has habitually failed to provide what is needed to help people achieve what is advisable to do.

     By TrestleTree leading with Achievable, it provides a foundation of hope strategic for every individual, regardless of their own disbelief that they can or will ever change the things they know they need to change. Most people understand the advisable-part, but are truly missing the achievable-part of change.
